Coming Events

The club has four weekend Get Togethers in various parts of the state each year, as well as an annual State Rally. The location of the State Rally is rotated through the four club regions around the state.

Because our membership is spread across such a big area we do not hold monthly meetings at a single location, but hold meetings in conjunction with our regional Get Togethers and annual Rally. We have in place a system of postal voting for important issues and the election of office bearers.

The aim of the Get Togethers is primarily to give members an opportunity to meet and form friendships with others who have a common interest in these marques. There is ample time to admire each others vehicles, visit interesting venues, share meals together and sometimes place our vehicles on display to the public.

The rally is slightly more formal with trophies awarded and vehicles judged by popular vote.

Our C - Region Winter Picnic Day will be held at Woronora Dam South of Sydney in the beautiful Sutherland Shire. Woronora Dam is about 50 kilometres drive from Sydney. From the North take the Southern Freeway South (M1) towards Wollongong. Exit to the right just south of Waterfall onto the Princes Highway, the turn off to Woronora Dam is about 2.5km further on. From the South take the Southern Freeway (M1) North and turn off at the Princes Highway Helensburg Stanwell Park Exit, the turn off to Woronora Dam is about 6.2km further on. Turn onto the Woronora Dam Rd and travel 7km and your there. Take the narrow bridge over the spillway to the lower picnic area near the dam wall.

There is a large covered area with tables and bench seats that should cater for us all but if you can fit a chair in bring it just in case. This area has four free electric BBQs, tap water and boiling water for tea and coffee. The toilets and disabled toilets are adjacent and clean.

Please review the associated images on the website for how-to-get-there and recreation area maps and several photos of the area.

Don't miss the spectacular spillway cutting when you visit Woronora Dam. Catch a glimpse of the past while enjoying our picnic in picturesque surroundings. The grounds are unusual in retaining workers' cottages and old platforms, plant and machinery used in the dam's construction in the 1930s. Woronora Dam supplies water to the Sutherland Shire in Sydney's south, and to the northern suburbs of Wollongong.

If you feel energetic, walk across the spectacular spillway bridges and dam wall, don’t forget your woollies, remember this is winter.

There is no cost, but please bring your picnic lunch and refreshments, maybe chairs. Boiling water is on tap, there are free electric BBQs and Christine will provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk and some slices.

This will be a dam enjoyable day in very beautiful surroundings, we look forward to seeing you there, don’t forget your woollies.

Please join us for a dam good picnic day…

D - Region Picnic Day - Burrill Lake

Sat 05 August 2017 - Sat 05 August 2017
The D Region coastal picnic for this year will be held at the Burrill Lake Lions Park. This large park has a very large undercover area with seats and tables, electric BBQ’s, a children’s playground and modern amenities. It is situated on the south side of the Lake on Dolphin Point Rd and has water frontage.

At the moment there are some very major road works going on along the Princes Highway in this area so there is only one road to access the park. From the north cross the bridge after passing some shops and at the large roundabout turn left into Dolphin Point Rd and then take the first exit at the next roundabout, then the next left and follow this until the end. (the road is closed here for roadworks.) From the south take the 3rd exit into Dolphin Point Rd at the large roundabout before the bridge and follow the directions as above.

Please bring all your own food, drink and hot water. Some morning tea slices will be provided as well as tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The electric BBQ’s work and are free to use. No need to bring chairs or tables as there are plenty.

Even though it is winter there is plenty of shelter so come and have a great day catching up with other coastal D Region members.
